Preparing for Canvas

Intro to Canvas

Description: An introductory-level demo of the Canvas environment and the core functionality
Audience: All Sinclair faculty and staff. Anyone and everyone!
Pre-Requisites: None.

Course Set-Ups Labs

Description: Guided, hands-on practice applying the eLearn standard template to a Canvas blueprint course.
Audience: Owners/coordinators of Canvas courses, including eLearning, Face-to-Face, PEP, TechPrep, CCP and training/community content. 
Pre-Requisites: A Canvas Blueprint course. Laptop required.

Blueprinting 101

Description: Demo of how to enable and sync a simple Blueprint to associated teaching shells (the new process for copying a Master to a teaching shell.)
Audience: Owners/coordinators of all Canvas courses, including eLearning, Face-to-Face, PEP, TechPrep, CCP and training/community content. 
Pre-Requisites: A Canvas Blueprint course. Laptop recommended.

Blueprinting 201/301

Description: Demo of how to enable a Blueprint for a high-enrollment course and sync it to associated teaching shells. Discusses locked vs unlocked content and using multiple vs a single blueprint to accommodate variable term lengths and modalities.
Audience: Coordinators of high enrollment eLearning or Face-to-Face courses - those with many teaching sections and multiple term lengths and modalities.
Pre-Requisites: A Canvas Blueprint course. Laptop recommended.

Teaching in Canvas

Description: Demo of how to prepare a Canvas teaching shells for the term and manage tasks such as communication, grading and student engagement.
Audience: All teaching faculty, including eLearning, Face-to-Face, PEP, TechPrep, CCP and training/community content. 
Pre-Requisites: An assigned and accessible teaching shell.
