Sinclair College, in cooperation with the Dayton Area Board of REALTORS®, offers a comprehensive Real Estate education program. Choose from the Short-Term Real Estate Sales Associate Certificate program consisting of the four pre-licensing classes required to sit for the Ohio Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Examination or complete the Real Estate associate degree program, which meets the educational requirements required to sit for the Ohio Real Estate Broker Licensing Examination.
Prepare to be apart of the growing real estate field as a salesperson, broker, property manager, appraiser, investor or building consultant.
In the Real Estate degree program, students acquire a variety of skills in selling, marketing, leasing, buying, appraising, investing in and managing real property. Courses are offered which are required by the Ohio Division of Real Estate for persons taking the real estate sales examination. This degree program contains one or more embedded certificates which will be automatically awarded when the certificate requirements are completed. The course work meets the educational requirement of 120 classroom hours for persons to sit for the Ohio real estate license exam: 40 hours of Real Estate Principles and Practices, 40 hours of Real Estate Law, 20 hours of Real Estate Finance, and 20 hours of Real Estate Appraisal. (Further state requirements must also be satisfied). Seat hour requirements of 120 hours are strictly enforced by state rule. Successful completers will receive the Ohio Real Estate Sales Associate Certificate.
