Since 2022, the STEM Education & Partnerships Program at Sinclair Community College has had the absolute privilege of inspiring the next generation of thinkers, creators, and innovators.
From empowering young visionaries through the Dayton CSO program to immersing high schoolers in real-world problem-solving during our Forensic Science Career Days and summer experiences, every moment has been driven by a shared belief: when you give students access to hands-on STEM learning, you unlock endless potential.
Notice of Conclusion: Due to priority shifts within the Department of War’s collective investments for K-12 STEM education, funding for the Sinclair STEM Education & Partnerships Program will be coming to an end for the upcoming year, along with other regional service partners in the Defense STEM Education Consortium. As a result, this program will conclude operations and sunset by September 30, 2026 or earlier.
While the STEM Education & Partnerships Program is wrapping up, Sinclair’s commitment to STEM academic pathways, student enrichment, and regional workforce development remains as strong as ever. We encourage our participating schools and student leaders to stay connected with Sinclair and local STEM ecosystems.
Over 30 Chief Science Officers across Montgomery, Greene, and Warren counties designed and executed community action plans and stepped into regional leadership roles.
Over 2,000 K-15th students gained firsthand experience in cutting-edge fields—from forensic science and lab work to makerspaces.
Built meaningful pathways with faculty, industry leaders, and community partners that demystified technical careers for students.
The full year-long cohort will not launch for 2026-2027 as originally planned. Funding options are being explored with plans to follow up in November 2026 for a potential condensed launch in January 2027.
Transitioning to The Public Service Career Craze Day under Sinclair's School Partnerships Dept & MCESC. Allows select network schools to explore Fire Science, Public Safety, Criminal Justice, and Forensic Science.

The Sinclair STEM Summer Camp will not take place in Summer 2027. For details regarding other Sinclair-hosted STEM camps and programs for Summer 2027, please reach out to department staff.
