Culinary Arts Supplies

Shop Campus Store – Culinary
- HMT 1101: Full uniform and required supplies are due by the second week of the semester.
- Dining Room Service Attire is required later in the semester (see “Dining Room Service Attire”).
- The chef’s uniform is required dress in HMT lab classes. No exceptions.
Requirements: All Culinary Lab Classes
- Headwear: White beret or skull cap (per course).
- Jacket: White chef jacket (size availability may vary).
- Pants: Checked chef pants.
- Shoes: Black, slip-resistant work shoes (leather upper or equivalent).
- Knife kit (see “Accessories & Kits”).
Requirements: Baking Classes
- Headwear: White skull cap.
- Jacket: White chef jacket.
- Pants: Checked chef pants.
- Shoes: Black, slip-resistant work shoes.
Requirements: Butchery Classes
- Headwear: Black butcher’s ball cap.
- Jacket: White chef jacket.
- Pants: Checked chef pants.

Dining Room Service Attire (Menu Planning & Service)
- Burgundy vest.
- Plain white, long-sleeved, button-up dress shirt.
- Black bow tie.
- Black slacks or skirt.
- Black, slip-resistant work shoes.
Accessories & Kits
Knife Kit
(Required)
Choose an approved kit from the Campus Store (case or backpack styles may be available). Typical contents include:
- 8" cook’s knife
- 3" paring knife
- 6" boning knife
- 12" slicing knife
- 12" butcher steel
- Storage case or backpack

Baking Accessories
(Course-Specific)
Courses like Cake Production & Decorating may require additional tools. Examples include:
- Master tip set
- Icing color set
- Piping tips (e.g., 1M)

Optional & Recommended Items
- Finger guard (for practicing knife cuts)
- White bib aprons (recommend 2–3)
- Cutting board (12" × 18", plastic or wood)
- Garnishing kit (for advanced courses)
