Application for the June 2026 Day Academy

The application process for the Sinclair Basic Peace Officer Academy is now split into 2 stages.

NOTE: This is for the June 2026 Day Academy Only

• Student Health Data Form
• Authorization for Use or Disclosure of Drug Screen Information

1. Take the Health Data Form to a M.D, D.O., P.A. or C.N.P. and have a physical completed by them.  Kettering Health Network provides the physicals for $ 25.00 to academy application.  CLICK HERE for flyer.
2. Have a urine sample collected to test for the listed drugs.  We recommend Concentra as they are familiar with our process and we can download the results when completed.

Once these two tasks are completed, bring the completed two forms as well as a receipt for the urine sample collection to the Academy Office. 

You will then be scheduled for an entry physical fitness test. 

Once you pass the P.T. test, you will receive the academy application via e-mail with further instructions.

Stage Two – Application submission

1. Once you complete the application paperwork and turn it into the academy office NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, MAY 1, 2026.
2. You will then be scheduled for an interview.
