Robert T. Wells SOAR Chapter Scholarships

Support of Academic Recognition or S.O.A.R Scholarships are scholarships funded by an alumni member Robert T. Wells.

SOAR Scholarships are Nu Pi Chapter Level that are awarded to members at the Fall and Spring Induction Ceremonies. The SOAR Scholarships are awarded in the following amounts:

  • one $500 scholarship in fall and spring semesters
  • five $200 scholarships in fall and spring semesters
  • one $1,000 transfer scholarship to an outstanding member every May

These SOAR scholarships are awarded based on the member’s cumulative GPA and Service to Nu Pi and Phi Theta Kappa.

Scholarship winners are announced at the induction ceremonies and members who are selected can use the full amount the following semester if they are enrolled in 9 or more credit hours.

If they are enrolled in 6 to 9 credit hours, they will receive half the scholarship. No scholarship is given if the member takes less than 6 credit hours.

Members earn Service Points by volunteering at Nu Pi events or at events that Nu Pi is part of (i.e. Relay for Life).  Members are responsible for keeping track of their SOAR points. Access to view the Application Packet.
