Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Training

The Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Training team is committed to ensuring excellence and integrity across every facet of course design and delivery at Sinclair.

Quality Assurance

The team researches and communicates trends in distance learning, quality standards, accreditation requirements, and accessibility regulations. 

Sinclair is a proud member of Quality Matters (QM) and the Ohio QM Consortium. QM principles of quality course design are used to guide course template, development, and review projects.

Compliance

The team oversees all regulations and policies pertinent to distance learning at Sinclair including State Authorization regulations that govern distance education courses and out-of-state learning placements. 

These regulations come from many sources including:

  • State Law
  • Federal Law and Administrative Policies
  • Higher Education accrediting bodies such as Higher Learning Commission

Training

The team partners with the Center for Teaching and Learning, faculty, and staff to deliver engaging training and professional development opportunities designed to support continuous improvement and sustained excellence in course design, delivery, and more.
