OCT 7th -Sinclair Talks: Sinclair's Connections to Downtown Dayton - Then & Now? - (11:00 AM - 11:45 AM), NW Loggia, Library, Dayton Campus. Join librarian and local history author Andrew Walsh for an interactive presentation featuring a little Dayton and Sinclair history but also current downtown redevelopment efforts that have given new life to old landmarks.
Our campus sits only a couple of blocks from the historic Dayton Arcade, where Sinclair holds entrepreneurship classes, and you can also find restaurants, a coffee shop, and other small businesses. And other projects nearby have added hundreds of apartments, new offices, and even an outdoor concert pavilion.
Many students, faculty, and staff are unaware of the wide range of amenities that downtown offers, and we want to hear what you think and any ideas you may have about connecting Sinclair to our surrounding community.

You’ll explore easy, everyday stretches and breathing techniques alongside ideas for nature-inspired stress relief—like hiking or walking in a park, nature-based mindfulness, gardening, forest bathing, or water activities such as listening to a stream or kayaking. These simple practices can help relieve tension, boost your mood, and improve your focus—whether you're on campus, at home, or outdoors.

You can try the stretches with us during the session or take notes to use later—either way, it’s a quick 30-minute break that your body (and mind) will thank you for.
