Attend Daymunc

If you are interested in attending DAYMUNC 2021, email the Secretary General at

My name is Crystal Burns and I am the Secretary General for DAYMUNC XXVIII. I completed my undergraduate degree in Political Science and International Studies at Wright State University. I am currently a Master of Art in International and Comparative Politics student at the Wright State Graduate School, where I am studying the impacts climate change has on indigenous people’s human rights.

This year marks my seventh year as a Model UN participant! Over the past six years I’ve represented the Netherlands on the General Assembly Second Committee, Iran on the Commission on Narcotic Drugs and Italy on the International Atomic Energy Agency at the National conference in New York. I’ve served as a Co-Secretary General for DAYMUNC XXVII and served as Director for the Commission on Narcotic Drugs at DAYMUNC XXIV. I have staffed twice at the National Conference in New York as a rapporteur for the International Atomic Energy Agency and as a Chair/Rapp for United Nations Development Program. Lastly, I had the pleasure of serving as a Co-Head Delegate for my University which allowed me to mentor new delegates and prepare them for upcoming conferences. I am incredibly passionate about MUN and especially passionate about Human Rights, Humanitarian Affairs, Climate Change and Sustainability and Women’s Rights.

MUN has helped shaped me into the person I am today, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with all of you at the upcoming conference. It is my hope that you will take what you learn here into the wider world and strive to build a better future for all.
