CCP New Student Orientation

CCP New Student Orientation (CCP-NSO) is designed to help new CCP students make the transition to Sinclair. By taking part in orientation, you will learn about seeing an advisor and choosing classes, campus resources, support services, counseling, important dates and deadlines and much more. Small, interactive sessions are offered so you can get to know the Sinclair staff and students who will aid in your success. 

Students may choose an In-Person or Virtual Session or attend an On Demand ONLINE option.

CCP New Student Online Orientation

 

  • The CCP NSO is a FREE online tutorial that's available anytime.
  • Each module contains lessons followed by knowledge check activities.
  • You must score at least 80% on each module's knowledge check to open the next module.
  • Complete all 5 modules, the final knowledge check, and the Mature Content Questionnaire to earn the CCP Orientation badge and certificate.

 

To get started, follow the steps below:
  1. Log into my.sinclair.edu (note: you must have a Sinclair username and password.)
  2. Locate the eLearn tile and click on eLearn.
  3. On the eLearn homepage, locate the Discover tab on the red navigation bar, and search "CCP Orientation".
  4. Click on CCP Orientation, to open the course.
  5. When the course opens, click the Content tab and follow the instructions under Start Here.
  6. If you do not complete the orientation right away, you may return to the tutorial later by clicking on the link under My Courses on your eLearn homepage.

Proof of CCP NSO Completion

After you have successfully completed CCP New Student Orientation, you will have an award generated in eLearn. To view your CCP Orientation Certificate, follow these instructions:

  • Login to eLearn.
  • Select your CCP Orientation eLearn Course Shell.
  • Click Progress from the Navigation Bar, then select Awards from the drop-down menu.
  • Select My Awards, then Certificates, to find the CCP Orientation Certificate.

**Please Note - All books must be ordered ONLINE via the Sinclair online bookstore link above.

CCP students may order online beginning 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester. Students taking courses at their high school receive books from their high school. Homeschool students are responsible for payment of all books and supplies.
