Reminder! If the Sinclair campus is closed due to a holiday, Tutoring and Learning Center services will not be available.
If Sinclair campus closes due to inclement weather or an emergency, our appointment-based services will switch to virtual.

Information on additional services is available below.

BIOSIS

Located in the lower level of the library, Building 7, Room L09, BIOSIS provides a location where students can self-study or review material covered in lectures and labs.  Students can work individually or in groups.

The following resources are available to students:

  • Anatomical models and charts
  • Molecule models
  • Microscopes and prepared slides
  • Biology posters and handouts
  • Desktop computers

No appointment is needed to use BIOSIS.  However, due to space limitations, there might be a wait.  Please check-in at the front desk upon arrival.

Please note: You are not guaranteed access to a tutor in BIOSIS. If you want access to a biology tutor, schedule an appointment with the Tutoring and Learning Center:

CIS CHAT

TLC COMPUTER SCIENCE ONLINE CHAT
Tutors can discuss course content and provide advice on assignments during the online chat session.

(CRC) CHEMISTRY RESOURCE CENTER

The Chemistry Resource Center (CRC) is located in Building 12, Room 301A.

MATH LAB

The Math Lab (07L05), located at the Tutoring and Learning Center in the library, will be open for walk-in tutoring for MAT 1470, MAT 1570, MAT 1580, & MAT 2270 this semester during the following days and times:

(PRL) PHYSICS RESOURCE LAB

The Physics Resource Lab (PRL), located in Building 4, Room 241, is open for walk-in tutoring during the following days and times:

(VIS) VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS

Students can submit projects for review or send questions to geana.ampaya@sinclair.edu.  If you are submitting projects for review, please include any images, project descriptions, Photoshop files, AI files, and InDesign files necessary to the project in a zip folder. InDesign files must be packaged for a tutor to review them.

VIS LAB

The VIS department hosts an open lab for student use. The professional VIS tutor is available in the lab during certain times for face-to-face tutoring. Please check the VIS department's website for the schedule.

WRITING LAB

Submit a writing assignment to the Writing Lab for review. Visit our WRITING LAB webpage for instructions.
