On-Campus Tutoring

IMPORTANT REMINDER!

To ensure all students can meet with a tutor, we ask that you only sign up for 1 or 2 appointments per class per week.  If you feel like you need to meet with the tutor for additional time, please contact our front desk at 937-512-2792 or email tutor1@sinclair.edu to discuss additional options.

Using the + sign, expand each banner to see a list of our most requested courses.  Select the link to view what days and times are available for tutoring.  If you need a course that is not listed or a different day or time, please select "Course Not Listed" to submit a request.

If you would like to schedule a face-to-face writing conference for a course that isn't listed, please select On-Campus Writing Conference to schedule an appointment.

If you are registered for an Interior Design course that uses the AutoCAD or SketchUp software, our tutor can offer software support for those courses. Please be aware that we can only offer software support. We currently do not offer course specific content support.

Here is a list of courses that could be using the software noted above:

  • IND 1230 Residential Design
  • IND 1234 Materials and Textiles
  • IND 2130 Non-Residential Design
  • IND 2140 Sustainable Design
  • IND 2260 Interior Design Portfolio
  • IND 2297 Special Topics

 

Please be aware that we can only offer AutoCAD software support for MET 1371 – CAD Concepts using AutoCAD. We currently do not offer course specific content support.

In person music tutoring location: Building 2, Room L32H. 

The Physics Resource Lab (PRL), located in Building 4, Room 241, will be open for walk-in tutoring during the summer semester on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9AM to 3PM. No appointment is needed.

We also offer individual, one-hour physics tutoring sessions. Please choose your course below to book a tutoring appointment.

The Writing Lab provides written feedback on your paper or writing assignment. 

Students can submit projects for review or send questions to geana.ampaya@sinclair.edu.  If you are submitting projects for review, please include any images, project descriptions, Photoshop files, AI files, and InDesign files necessary to the project in a zip folder. InDesign files must be packaged for a tutor to review them.

VIS Courses

The VIS department hosts an open lab for student use. The professional VIS tutor is available in the lab during certain times for face-to-face tutoring. Please check the VIS department's website for the schedule.

WritePlacer

To begin the process for WritePlacer practice, please email writinglab@sinclair.edu. You will receive an email with a writing prompt. You will have the opportunity to meet with a tutor after your practice prompt is complete.

For ALEKS support, to get connected with a tutor and/or resources for the  placement test, please call the Tutoring and Learning Center at 937-512-2792 or email tutor1@sinclair.edu.
