Sustainability and Energy Management Technology

This program teaches students the energy efficient design components of residential, commercial and industrial buildings and facilities. Additionally, students will learn how to perform energy assessments, quickly identify energy efficiency measures on buildings and facilities and design and install renewable energy systems.

With diminishing natural resources and concerns of global warming, it is even more important to teach the workforce to design energy efficient buildings and processes. Because there are many more existing buildings than new buildings being build, it is important to teach the workforce how to perform energy assessments on existing buildings. There are many companies that specialize in performing these assessments and having a strong workforce that can step into those positions will ensure that these facilities are run at optimal efficiency.
