This certificate prepares students for entry-level careers in the clean energy sector, with a focus on solar photovoltaic (PV) system design, installation, and safety. Coursework includes residential electrical systems, architectural graphics, OSHA construction standards, customer service, and workforce readiness. Graduates will be equipped with practical skills to pursue employment in solar installation, energy efficiency, and related construction fields.
Graduates will be prepared for entry-level positions as Solar Photovoltaic Installer, Solar Technician, Energy Efficiency Technician, Weatherization Technician, Electrical Helper or Electrical Apprentice, Building Systems Installer, Construction Laborer (with solar specialization), Customer Service Representative, and Energy/Utilities Sector Field Service Technician (Solar or Electrical).
