Reminder! 
Holiday Closures: If Sinclair College is closed for a holiday, Tutoring and Learning Center services will not be available.
Weather or Emergency Closures: If Sinclair College closes due to inclement weather or an emergency, appointment-based services will transition to virtual.

BIOSIS
LOCATION: Library, Building 7, Room L09
BIOSIS is a space where students can study, review lecture/lab material, and collaborate individually or in groups.

No appointment is needed - just check in at the front desk when you arrive. However, space is limited and there may be a short wait.

ECONOMICS & ACCOUNTING GROUP ZOOM TUTORING
 

Sign up for a start time by using Navigate (for more information, go to our Schedule Appointment page) or by calling us at (937) 512-2792. You will receive a Zoom link to join the call with the tutor. You may stay on the call and continue to work and ask questions until the end of the tutor’s shift. Other students may be present, so the tutor will rotate working with different students. This is for students enrolled in any economics or accounting course at Sinclair.

MATH LAB
LOCATION: Tutoring and Learning Center, Library, Building 7, Room 07L05.
The Math Lab offers walk-in tutoring for the following courses:

Tutors can help with concepts, assignments, and test prep - no appointment required. Just drop in during the open hours.

TO SUBMIT A PROJECT FOR REVIEW
Package all files into a zipped folder and send the following materials:
  • Project Description
  • Supporting Images
  • Photoshop (.PSD), Illustrator (.AI), or InDesign Files
Note: InDesign files must be properly packaged before submission.
 
VIS LAB
The VIS department offers an open lab for student use. A professional tutor is available for face-to-face support during scheduled hours. Please check the VIS Department's website for lab availability and tutor schedule.

Need feedback on your writing? Send your draft to the Writing Lab and get help from our tutors.
  1. The draft of your paper? 
    • *Please send .docx files. PDF files are difficult to convert. 
  2. The directions, guidelines, prompt, or rubric for your assignment from eLearn
    •  * Note that we are unfortunately unable to open links to your course eLearn 
  3. Any questions you have about the assignment or requests about your review 
  4. A request for a specific tutor who has previously reviewed your assignments or that you have worked with before (optional) 
YOU CAN EXPECT
  1. In-text comments on formatting, source citation, assignment alignment, clarity, and grammar
  2. A list of next steps to guide you in making changes or improvements to your writing
 
  • You may have to wait up to 2 business days to receive your reviewed paper. Please keep checking your @sinclair.edu email. Our tutors will work diligently to get your paper back to you as quickly as possible.
