The AI Excellence Institute is a hub for innovation, exploration, and workforce transformation. We provide students, faculty, staff, and community members with access to cutting-edge programs that integrate artificial intelligence into learning, teaching, and industry application.

Current Opportunities
Sinclair AI Microcredential Program 

The AI Institute offers a Community AI Microcredential program. You can preview the program at no cost for participants with a certificate awarded for completion. Your best bet is the paid version (Coming mid-April 2026) resulting in a stackable, transferable badge issued for completion which can be shared on a number of platforms. Contact us with questions or comments.

AI CTL Workshops

Hosted by the Sinclair Center for Teaching and Learning, these events cover an array of topics including basics of AI, Tips and Tricks, and other considerations for use of AI in the learning space. 

Externships 

Externships are an opportunity  for faculty and staff to connect to local organizations to observe and interact with AI application in real-world settings, improving overall literacy, teaching, learning and workforce readiness. Sinclair faculty and staff can learn more and apply.

Faculty Fellows Program 

Supporting faculty as they explore AI’s role in education and workforce readiness through seed projects, externships, and peer exchange.

Community Learning Labs 

Open events and interactive experiences that invite the public to explore the power and potential of AI.

AI Integration Support 

Resources and guidance to help educators embed AI tools into their teaching practices in effective and ethical ways

Student Engagement 

Hands-on opportunities, workshops, and digital tools designed to help students understand and apply AI in real-world contexts.

AI for Everyone 

Foundational (2023) course on basic facets of AI, usage at Sinclair, and other topics (Note: Must be a Sinclair employee to complete; if you have issues with registration, contact ai-institute@sinclair.edu for help).
