Sinclair Community College does not have the resources or the expertise to evaluate academic transcripts for students who have attended academic institutions outside the United States. If you would like to have course work evaluated for the purpose of obtaining college transfer credits at Sinclair, you must have your transcript evaluated by a foreign credentials evaluation service.
Once you receive the evaluation report from the service, you must send the report and an original or certified copy of the transcript to the Registration & Student Records office, Sinclair Community College, 444 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402-1454. You will receive a Transfer Credit Evaluation Report in the mail from the Registration Office.
Next, you must make an appointment with the academic chair in the division in which you are or plan to study. Only the chair can formally grant you transfer credit for your specific program of study. If you do not meet with your chair, you cannot receive transfer credit. If you change your major, you will need to meet with your new academic chair to determine how your transfer credit can be applied to your new program of study. Below is a list of some credential evaluation services that you may contact.
In addition, besides the evaluation report, chairs may also request to see syllabi of the courses for which you would like to receive transfer credit.
