May 15, 2026 – eLearn Glow Up: Canvas Is Here!

The eLearn Glow Up is here. Beginning today, eLearn at Sinclair is now powered by Canvas.

Accessing Canvas and D2L

The familiar eLearn tile in my.sinclair now directs users to Canvas instead of D2L.

Please note:

  • Access to D2L ends June 30, 2026
  • Staff should save any needed materials from D2L before access ends
  • Additional details were shared in the D2L End of Life communication sent April 17
  • Students completing an Incomplete Grade from the Spring semester will still have access to D2L

Student Resources and Registration Updates

eLearn 101 is now available in Canvas as an optional resource for students who would like help learning the new system and navigating eLearning courses in Canvas.

FlexPace Orientation will return later this summer in Canvas ahead of Spring 2027 registration.

Requirements to complete eLearn 101 and FlexPace Orientation for course registration are currently paused, though GPA requirements remain in place.

These registration requirements will resume for Spring 2027 registration. Students will again be required to complete eLearn 101 before registering for online courses and FlexPace Orientation before registering for FlexPace courses.

New Resource: Learning Lounge in Canvas

The Learning Lounge in Canvas is now the central location for Canvas resources for faculty and staff.

The space includes:

  • Guides and tutorials
  • Training resources
  • Quick answers and support materials

If you have a community or training course in Canvas, the Learning Lounge is a great place to start.

Additional Resource: Get Started with Canvas

The Get Started with Canvas guide was attached to the original email and provides quick answers to common student questions and transition support information.
