eLearn Got a Glow Up!

Sinclair is on the move.

Our Learning Management System (LMS) transitioned from D2L Brightspace to Canvas by Instructure on May 14, 2026. This upgrade gives students, faculty, and staff a modern, easy-to-use platform that supports excellence in teaching and learning.

This page is your go-to spot for updates, resources, and ways to stay connected throughout the transition.

All Courses are Now in Canvas!

All Sinclair faculty and staff have a Sandbox in Canvas. Your Sandbox is a safe place to play with and test any Canvas feature or tool. To access your Sandbox:

  1. Go to elearn.sinclair.edu and log in with your Sinclair SSO.
  2. In Canvas, select Courses > All Courses and look for Sandbox First Last.
  3. Click the Star icon next to the course name to add your Sandbox to your Dashboard, and refresh your browser. Once you star at least one course, Canvas only shows starred courses.
  4. Don't see your Sandbox? Contact the Helpdesk (937-512-4357).

For Faculty Preparing Fall Courses

Hear from Rick Andrews, Accounting Faculty, in this short video as he shares a straightforward message about preparing your course for Canvas and what actions matter most right now. His advice: don’t be intimidated—get started.

“My first shock was, I thought the migrated course was my course. The migrated course is just an area for us to transfer D2L content into Canvas.”
