What is the program about?

This program is designed to introduce the student to working within the agricultural field and will provide a baseline of business, communication, and animal handling knowledge.

Program Outcomes

  • Demonstrate safe animal handling techniques and maintain a safe agricultural environment.
  • Prepare and communicate certifications and skills relevant for employment in animal care and handling.
  • Improve the productivity, nutrition, and animal conditions for a profitable farm business.

Career Opportunities

Holders of this certificate will be better able to obtain employment, or increase their status as a Farm Worker, Farm Manager, Feed Store Worker, Farm Bureau Representative, or Farm Banking Assistant.
