What is the program about?

Designed for students who are planning on using Black Studies to enhance their knowledge and career in Social Work, Public Education, Urban Planning, Management, Business Administration, Nursing, or any other field in which racial sensitivity is important.

Program Outcomes

  • Recognize and articulate an understanding of the increasing interdependence of world cultures and their consequences.
  • Apply the major concepts and principles of Black Studies to better understand and address personal and professional concerns.
  • Identify the origins, scope and perspectives of Black Studies.

Career Opportunities

This certificate enhances any field in which racial sensitivity is important.
