On April 8, 2019, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced that both Amanda Schroeder (Women’s Basketball) and Sean McNeil (Men’s Basketball) have earned Division II 1st Team All-American honors for the 2018-19 season.  Amanda Schroeder (6-00/SO – Carroll H.S.) blasted her way into the record books her sophomore year by being named 1st Team All-American for the second time. Sinclair’s Coach Victoria Jones has accepted the position of Athletic Director for the Euclid City School District just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Sinclair student-athletes Jazzlyn Petry and Alec Holtrey were recently named to receive the 2017-18 OCCAC Sportsmanship of the Year award. Petry competes on the softball squad, while Holtrey spends his time on the hardwood as a member of the men’s basketball team. Sinclair finished the regular season winning its 8th conference champion in the last 10 years with a 46-11 record.  The OCCAC Championship automatically qualified the District Tournament for the bid to the World Series in Enid, OK. The Sinclair baseball team leaves May 23 to head to Enid, Oklahoma for the 2018 NJCAA Division II College World Series!  The first game is Saturday, May 26 and is a double elimination event played at David Allen Memorial Ballpark. Sinclair Community College and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced July 13 that both the volleyball and baseball teams earned NJCAA All-Academic honors for 2016-17. Schroeder (6-00/SO – Dayton Carroll H.S.) produced 33 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in a 72-52 win over Clark State. Sinclair Sports Wrap Up for 2013-14 - June 05, 2014

The Sinclair baseball team finished out the season this past weekend (May 30 - June 1) in Regional Tournament, wrapping up the academic athletic year.  The Athletic program has had a successful 2013-2014 year with all five programs qualifying for post-season play and four of the five programs being ranked nationally at some point throughout their seasons.  Sinclair had 13 Student/Athletes named to the Dean's List for the spring semester as well as the Volleyball team being nominated as All-Academic Team for NJCAA.  12 Sinclair Student/Athletes were also named to the 2013-14...

Sinclair Baseball Sweeps OCCAC Awards - May 14, 2014

Dayton, OH May 14, 2014 – The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) has announced their postseason baseball awards, as well as the 2014 all-conference team. Dayton, OH – The (4)Sinclair Baseball team (41-9, 22-2) continues to dominate conference play winning 14 consecutive OCCAC contest on their way to being ranked 4th in the NJCAA Division II Baseball Poll. Dayton, OH – In a four game series April 25-26, Sinclair Baseball one its12th consecutive game to take their 5th OCCAC Title in 6 years. Heading into the conference weekend, Sinclair needed just one win for their fifth title in the last six years.  They didn't have to wait very long as they won the first game of the four game series 4-1. Dayton, OH – Sinclair Freshman Alex Young (FR/Bloomingdale – Indian Creek H.S.) earned a dual honor April 10, 2014 by being named both OCCAC* Player of the Week and NJCAA* Division II Player of the Week. The Freshman Center Fielder went 7-for-11 (.636) and scored eight runs while tallying two doubles, six stolen bases and eight RBIs. Xenia, OH – The Sinclair Baseball team (22-8, 7-1) hosted The Ohio State University Club team Tuesday afternoon April 8, 2014 in a non-conference game.  Coming off a four game sweep this past weekend of conference foe Cuyahoga and in 1st place in the OCCAC, Sinclair seems to be hitting on all cylinders. The Sinclair Men's and Women's basketball teams hosted Edison on Wednesday, February 12 at the gymnasium in Building 8 on the downtown Dayton campus.  The men's team prevailed to beat Edison 87-79, while the women lost 93-60.  Details of each game are provided below. Sinclair stand-out sophomore Jessica Thobe was named an All-American again for her sophomore season.  After a successful season where Sinclair went 34-6 overall and 10-2 in conference play, Thobe's individual play was even more stellar.  She was named to the First Team All-OCCAC as well as the OCCAC Player of the Year in 2013, both honors that she was awarded in the 2012 season as well.  Thobe was named the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week ending September 8, 2013.
