Sinclair Freshman Earns 3rd Consecutive Volleyball Player of the Week

October 22, 2018 -- Elizabeth Sicking’s dominance of the OCCAC D-II Volleyball Player of the Week award continues while Summer Sweeting lifted Owens Community College to a clinching of the conference title to earn her first career D-III Player of the Week recognition.

Elizabeth Nicole Sicking (5-11/FR – Fairfield H.S./Hamilton, OH) gathered her third consecutive and fifth of 2019 weekly league accolade after crushing it in a pair of road OCCAC clashes. For the week, she racked up over seven points per set while attacking .425 and connecting for six service snipes. Sicking got it done defensively as well, digging 1.88 balls/set and contributing three solo swats. In a five-set victory at Edison State, she delivered 35 kills, 10 digs and four aces.

Sinclair (19-13/9-5 OCCAC) clinched a post-season bid with a win last week at Edison.  They have two remaining matches before entering the Regional tournament November 1st at St. Clair County CC in Port Huron, MI.

All home games are played in Building 8 Arena on the downtown Dayton campus.  You can also get results and stats at: www.SinclairAthletics.com.
