Sinclair Community College Professor Receives National Award for Furthering Student Success Through Innovation

Sinclair Community College Allied Health Professor Dr. Greg Dudash has been selected to receive the 2022 Award for Excellence in eLearning – Legacy Award for Distance Educator from the Instructional Technology Council (ITC). 

20 years ago, Dr. Dudash pursued a teaching career in higher education and brought his passion to Sinclair to work with students who are the next generation of medical professionals. He continued his family medicine practice for 10 years while teaching. Dudash was one of the first online educators at Sinclair Community College and has designed multiple courses to ensure learning is accessible for students through multiple platforms. 

“I am honored to receive this recognition from the Instructional Technology Council, and I am grateful to Sinclair Community College and its eLearning Division for providing the tools and encouragement instructors need to inspire and support our students throughout their academic journey,” said Dr. Greg Dudash, award recipient and Sinclair Community College Allied Health Professor. 

ITC is an affiliated council of the American Association of Community Colleges and represents nearly 200 institutions that offer distance education courses to their students in the United States, Canada and around the world. Each year, ITC recognizes college administrators, faculty members and other individuals for their tremendous hard work, excellent service to students, and quality eLearning courses. 

“Greg is focused, passionate, and committed to making our students successful and does so in creative and engaging ways. He uses a variety of technologies to meet specific learning needs of our students,” said Dr. Rena Sebor, Dean of Health Sciences – Sinclair Community College. 

“Greg is an exceptional faculty member who spends incredible time creating well thought out and designed courses in both the online and classroom environments,” added Mary Brown, Assistant Professor of Allied Health – Sinclair Community College. 

Judges for the 2022 Awards for Excellence in eLearning include members of the ITC board of directors, past award winners, and attendees at ITC's annual Leadership Academy.  

Dr. Dudash will receive his award and be recognized at the Annual ITC Conference in February.
