Sinclair College to Award Record Number of Degrees and Certificates to Largest Ever Number of Students

Sinclair Community College will award a record number of degrees and certificates to an all-time high number of students during its 2022 commencement ceremony on Friday, May 6, 2022, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the University of Dayton Arena.

2022 Sinclair College Graduates:

  • Record number of Students earning Degrees and Certificates:  8,919*  (14% over last year, 147% increase over the last 10 years)
  • Record number of African American Males earning Degrees and Certificates:  1,548*  (15% over last year, 861% increase over the last 10 years)

2022 Sinclair College Degrees and Certificates:

  • Record number of Associate Degrees and Certificates awarded:  10,948*  (Up 11% over last year, 157% increase over the last 10 years)
  • Record number of Associate Degrees and Certificates awarded to African American Males:  1,909*  (Up 18% over last year, 845% increase over the last 10 years)
  • Record number of Associate Degrees and Certificates awarded to Minority students:  3,004*  (Up 14% over last year, 342% increase over the last 10 years)
  • Record number of Associate Degrees and Certificates awarded to active Military connected students: 486*   (Up 10% over last year, 724% increase over the last 10 years)

Other Notable 2022 Accomplishments:

  • • Bachelor’s Degree Graduates:  9  (More than double the number of 2021 bachelor’s degree graduates)  
    • Bachelor of Applied Science – Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS):  6 
    • Bachelor of Applied Science – Aviation Technology/Professional Pilot:  3
  • Record Number of High School Students earning Associate Degrees:  69  (Up 30% over last year)
  • Youngest 2022 Sinclair Graduate: 16
  • Oldest 2022 Sinclair Graduate: 64
