PIX4D & Sinclair Community College Establish New Academic Partnership

PIX4D is reinforcing its commitment to the North American market by partnering with Ohio’s Sinclair Community College to establish an academic training hub in Dayton. This collaboration aims to provide students with hands-on experience using industry-standard tools, enabling the next generation of professionals to meet the growing digital demands of sectors such as surveying, construction, and agriculture.

The partnership includes:

• Professional software suite: students gain hands-on experience with professional mapping tools, including PIX4Dmatic for processing, PIX4Dcloud for project sharing and collaboration, and PIX4Dfields for precision agriculture.
• Verified instruction: to maintain a high standard of technical training, Sinclair houses multiple PIX4D Certified Trainers, ensuring students are taught according to current industry best practices.
• Direct industry access: PIX4D specialists will conduct annual guest lectures, providing students with insights into real-world project management and the evolving needs of the various sectors.

Through this close collaboration, PIX4D and Sinclair aim to foster skilled professionals equipped to meet the growing digital needs of the industry. With an initial target of 25 students per year, the program empowers a new generation of specialists to use digital modeling tools to improve accuracy and decision-making on the job site, across surveying, construction, utilities, and agriculture.

“What sets PIX4D apart is that it makes complex photogrammetry approachable without oversimplifying it,” said Brendon Moss, Sinclair’s Coordinator for Data Analytics in the National UAS Training and Certification Center. “As an instructor, I’ve seen how it lets professionals focus on results and decision-making, rather than fighting algorithms or workflows.”

By combining PIX4D’s mapping technology with Sinclair’s educational leadership, the partnership establishes a new standard for workforce development in Ohio and beyond while providing a scalable model for future technical training across the United States.
