This course is an introduction to web design. Students will learn how to evaluate and develop quality websites by applying various web concepts. Students will learn how to use software to design and develop websites.

  • Students will learn how to design and develop responsive websites, including elements and principles of design and using best practice coding that adheres to web standards.
  • Students will learn web-based graphics editing and user interface design applications that will allow for designing and prototyping.
  • Students will learn skills in analyzing and applying the multi-faceted characteristics of usability when designing a website.
  • Students will learn and apply critical thinking skills to explore creative design solutions.
