VET 2107 Veterinary Technical Practice II
Practicum course in which the student is paired with a screened veterinary practice in order to develop beginning practical skills within a hospital setting. Ten (unpaid) practicum hours per week for 8 weeks in a Veterinary Practice. Student will be assigned to a suitable clinic in which they have not yet been placed.

Outcomes
- Applies effective communication patterns with clients and veterinary staff.
- The student will complete the clinical skills assigned to them during this clinical experience. This will include up to 70% of the overall clinical skills required for completion of this degree. Skills will be completed with a score of 3 or better (out of 4) as defined by the rubrics.
- The student will reflect on clinical experiences and communicate effectively with the instructor on topics relevant to their growth in the profession.
