This course discusses a variety of common diseases - diagnosis, treatment, and prevention; and the care of a variety of species of animals. This course has a blended curriculum which involves online work and in-class discussions.

  • Given diagnostic findings, identify the disease process.
  • Given a species, identify a preventive care plan to keep the animal healthy in terms of infectious disease, metabolic disease, and physiologic disease.
  • Identify and use proper veterinary terminology when discussing cases and determining proper care of animals in a clinical setting.
