Outcomes

  • Read subjects familiar to student and write sentences in Japanese to apply content relevant to content read.
  • Express oneself with simple Japanese phrases and common expressions in a situational dialogue in cultural contexts.
  • Learn and master the Hiragana and Katakana syllabaries for basic pronunciation and basic strokes for Japanese character writing (Kanji).
  • Learn basic sentence structures. Use the following concepts: verbs and adjectives in past and non-past tenses, nouns, pronouns, adverbs. particles, and conjunctions.
