  • Describe the process of professionalization and the roles of instruction in the career field of education.
  • Apply a variety of curriculum theories and instructional methodologies including at least one established framework for teaching, i.e. NCATE approved college model.
  • Analyze how schools reflect, reproduce, and seek to challenge social stratification, examining the influence of educational structures, policies, and practices on societal inequalities and pathways for reform.
  • Describe the components and multiple categories of diversity. Identify the influence of diversity on teacher education.
