Outcomes

  • Explain the impacts of waste production by a growing human population as well as the impact of urbanization
  • Identify and apply the scientific method when examining aspects of environmental science including physical science, biodiversity, and conservation
  • Relate environmental health and justice issues to how environmental policies are developed and how groups and organizations are striving to improve sustainability
  • Explain how a growing human population consumes resources such as food and fossil fuels and analyze the potential of alternative energy sources
  • Explain how a growing human population impacts: water, air, land, nutrient cycling and climate change
