Building upon skills and knowledge learned in Aircraft Accident Investigation I, the student will expand into areas of accident site field investigation and demonstrate the ability to study what they observe and make conclusions based upon the evidence seen.

Outcomes
- Demonstrate the ability to make non-biased observations of an aircraft accident crash site and exhibit interpretive skills using photos and diagrams made at the crash site of the wreckage by the investigator.
- Demonstrate the ability to look at a representative crash site data package and render observations and proposed conclusions based upon the evidentiary data presented and create a written report concerning the accident. This includes analysis of powerplant, flight control, and data recording systems and how human factors relates to the accumulated data.
- Develop an understanding of common factors related to most aircraft accidents such as continued visual flight into instrument weather conditions, aircraft performance issues, airspeed and altitude management, automation management and pilot proficiency.
