AVT 2325 Airline Transport Pilot Flight Lab

Students completing the Airline Transport Pilot flight lab course will obtain the flying skills and aeronautical experience necessary to meet the requirements for an Airline Transport Pilot certification with an airplane category, and multi-engine, land class rating. Contact the Department for the current lab fee. Two lab hours per week.

Outcomes

  • Develop and demonstrate proficiency, coordination and control during normal, short and soft field landings in addition to maneuvering to land with a single engine
  • Demonstrate advanced flight maneuvers in the multi-engine aircraft to develop skills in coordination and airplane control within the Airline Transport Pilot practical test standards
  • Practice and develop proficiency in multi-engine aircraft operations during power plant failures
  • Demonstrate and develop proficiency, coordination and control of the multi-engine aircraft within the Airline Transport Pilot practical test standards
