June 18, 2026 – Final Reminder: D2L Brightspace Will No Longer Be Available After June 30

Hello faculty and staff,

This is a final reminder that D2L Brightspace will no longer be available after June 30, 2026.

If there are materials, records, or resources you wish to retain, please download and save them before June 30. After this date, you will no longer be able to log in to D2L or retrieve content.

For All Faculty and Staff

Before June 30, please review any D2L courses, training offerings, and communities you participate in or manage and save any materials, files, or resources you may need in the future.

In particular, please ensure you have:

  • Exported and securely stored any final gradebooks, course statistics, or completion reports you wish to retain.
  • Downloaded any badges you would like to keep for your records.
  • Saved any additional course materials, files, or resources you may need in the future.

For Course Managers

In addition to the items above, please ensure you have:

  • Exported any Master or Development shells you wish to retain.
  • Exported rubrics and surveys needed for future reference.
  • Documented Intelligent Agents, News Announcements, and Release Conditions that do not transfer to Canvas.

Steps to Export D2L Content

  1. Log in to D2L at scc-elearn.brightspace.com.
  2. Open the shell that contains the content you wish to keep.
  3. Click Course Admin.
  4. Select Import/Export/Copy Components.
  5. Choose Export as Brightspace Package.
  6. If you would like to export only specific course components, select Choose Components. To export the entire shell, continue to the next step.
  7. Select the components you would like to export (for example: Content, Discussions, Quizzes, Assignments, Rubrics, or Surveys).
  8. Click Continue and follow the prompts to create the export package.
  9. When the export is complete, click Download and save the file to a secure location.

Repeat these steps for any additional course, training, or community shells before June 30.

The eLearning Division is no longer accepting requests to archive D2L content. If you wish to retain D2L materials, please export them before June 30 and store them securely.
