Description: This course focuses on professional ethics and issues in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field. Students will review historical and current trends related to ECE, and types of programs of early education and care. Center observation is required. This course includes additional materials and assignments related to the preparation for the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).

Description: This course focuses on applying knowledge of the characteristics and needs of young children from birth through adolescence, for the creation of healthy, supportive, and effective learning environments. Multiple, interrelated influences on the development and learning of young children will be examined.
