Can you tell us a little about yourself?I started at Sinclair in 2017 as a Fire Science Technology major. These days, I work as a Project Manager — a role that keeps me busy and always learning.
I always wanted to be a firefighter growing up — that’s what got me into the fire science program. Over time, my goals shifted, and Sinclair gave me the space and support to figure out what else I was good at.
Outside the classroom, Sinclair introduced me to friends I still talk to every day through the African American Male Initiative. In class, I picked up skills and confidence that helped me move into leadership and management.
Back then, success was just about graduating and getting hired. Now, it’s more about growth, stability, and doing work that actually means something to me.
Take chances and get out of your comfort zone — that’s where the good stuff is. And connect with as many people as you can while you’re in school — relationships matter.
