Elshan Huseynzade

Elshan HuseynzadeCan you tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Elshan Huseynzade. I studied New Media and Digital Marketing Analytics at Sinclair College. While I was a student, I volunteered with more than 20 different organizations — giving back to the community became a big part of who I am. Today, I’m continuing that path by working on social impact and digital media projects that aim to support people with disabilities and underserved communities.

What inspired you to pursue your career path, and how did Sinclair help you get there?

I’ve always been passionate about storytelling and connecting people. Digital media gave me the tools to turn that passion into action. At Sinclair, I didn’t just gain technical skills — I found mentors, got involved in real projects, and discovered that my voice and ideas could actually make a difference.

How would you describe the impact Sinclair had on your life, both in and out of the classroom?

Sinclair gave me confidence. In class, I learned the language of digital strategy, analytics, and communication. Outside the classroom, I had the chance to work on meaningful events and campaigns, which helped me grow both professionally and personally. It wasn’t just school — it was a community that believed in me.

How has your definition of success changed from when you were a Sinclair student to now?

Yes, it has. Back then, success meant good grades and meeting deadlines. Now, it means seeing the impact of my work in real lives. It’s about growth, purpose, and staying connected to my values — and Sinclair helped lay that foundation.

What is one piece of advice that you would give to current Sinclair students?

Say yes to opportunities, even if they feel outside your comfort zone. Talk to your professors, join clubs, volunteer, and explore what really drives you. You never know which small moment will open a big door.
