Can you tell us a little about yourself? After an enlistment in the U.S. Army, I attended Sinclair from 2002-2004 to obtain an Associates of Arts degree with the intention of transferring to obtain my bachelor's degree. I am currently the Assistant Plant Manager of the Kenworth Truck plant in Renton, Washington.
I chose the career path of military and then manufacturing operations. I chose this path because it is all about leadership and decision making. I first started really studying leadership as an art through the SInclair Ohio Fellows program that was led by Tom Roberts.
Sinclair is where I first learned how to be a true lifelong learner. A Professor named Thomas Preisser really changed my life. He took time outside of the classroom to really teach me how to write well and advised me on how to achieve my academic and career goals.
My definition of success has not changed from when I was a student at Sinclair. Then, and now, I want to be a successful leader that makes a difference in people's lives, while earning the resources needed to have an enjoyable family and leisure life.
Not only are you a masterpiece; but you're also the master. You build your own life. Define what you want for yourself, visualize what you need to get there, then make those things happen. It's all on you.
