Enjoy this film screening and discussion of Buffalo Soldiers: Fighting on Two Fronts, an award-winning documentary exploring the complex legacy of the all-Black Army regiments formed after the Civil War. Through historian interviews, descendant testimony, and archival footage, the film traces how these soldiers fought for their own citizenship and dignity at home while serving as instruments of U.S. expansion abroad — a story of courage, contradiction, and sacrifice. After the screening, we'll open the floor for a discussion on service, identity, and the cost of the American promise of citizenship.
