Why be a visiting student?
Taking classes as a visiting student is a great way to stay on track for graduation. You might even be able to get ahead to lighten your course load for future semesters. The benefits of taking classes as a visiting student at Sinclair are numerous. You will:

How do I enroll?
Apply
The first step is applying for admission. On the application, you’ll need to indicate that you are a visiting student.
Log In
After you’re accepted, you’ll log in to your Sinclair Portal using the username and password provided in your acceptance email.
Choose Courses
Then, you’ll select your courses. Visit the online Registration Portal to choose the courses you’d like to take at Sinclair.
If the Sinclair course(s) you plan to take does not have prerequisite course requirements and course registration for your desired term is available, you can register for your classes.
If the Sinclair course(s) you plan to take requires prerequisite coursework, complete the following steps:
- Revisit your Application Portal.
- Upload a copy of this Course Selection form
- Upload documentation that indicates you meet the required prerequisite; be sure that these documents include your name and the name of the college/university where the credit was earned. Typical documentation includes:
- Unofficial Transcripts
- Degree Audit Reports
- Advising Reports
- Other documents may be used for course placement in math and English if you have not previously earned college credit. If you graduated high school within the last three years, you can upload a copy of your final high school transcript or a copy of your ACT or SAT score report.
- Once your documentation has been reviewed, a staff member in Admissions will contact you for additional details or to confirm you have met any required prerequisites.
