Remote placement testing (at home)

Be sure to talk to your Advisor or call 937-512-3000 to confirm if you need placement testing.  If you are in high school, graduated within the last two years, attended college before, and/or took a placement test at another college or university within the last two years, it is possible you may not have to test.  If placement testing is required, your Advisor or an Enrollment Specialist will help you reserve a remote testing appointment.

If remote testing, follow these tips:

  • Check your email.  Important test information will be sent to your Sinclair email (@sinclair.edu) by your proctor the day before your test.  This information is only sent to your personal email if you supplied that email when making your appointment.
  • Be on time.  Test sessions start promptly at their appointed hour.  Be sure to log in on time or risk having to reschedule.
  • Prepare.  Install Zoom (if necessary) before testing, and follow the instructions in your email to check system compatibility.  Test in a well-lit room free from distractions and have your ID ready.
  • Seek assistance if needed.  For assistance the day of your test, please call 937-512-3445.
  • One appointment is required per test.  If you plan to take more than one test in a day, please schedule your tests at least two hours apart.
