I'd like to say congratulations on graduating high school, congratulations on the decision to attend college, and congratulations on your academic achievements that have brought you here today.

Two years ago, I was in the exact same place you are. Under some different circumstances but in most respects the exact same place. I had worked hard throughout high school to maintain a high GPA and for the first time was being rewarded for that hard work because the Virginia McNeil family saw something worth investing in, me.

My advice for you is to know that you're ahead of the curve by attending Sinclair and capitalize on that by pushing yourself to do more. Find out who you want to be as a person and how you can help motivate all those around you to make Sinclair and our Dayton community a better place. In the words of John F. Kennedy "a rising tide lifts all ships".
