What do you like most about Sinclair?

The thing that I love most about Sinclair is how affordable the tuition is. On top of the extremely low costs, there are so many scholarship opportunities for each student attending Sinclair to apply for.

What advice would you give a new student planning to attend Sinclair?

I would, first of all, say “Congratulations! You made a great choice!” because Sinclair is a great place to either begin or continue your education. Just because Sinclair is a community college does not mean the quality of your education is less than other universities!

Never let your questions go unanswered. My advice would be, especially as a new student on campus, to always ask if you’re unsure! Whether you have a question about the location of a class on campus, need to get some help with homework, or even just need to talk to someone, there are services and staff all over campus to help you! Never feel like you are alone or that you are bothering them. That’s what they’re here for!

Why did you choose Sinclair?

I chose Sinclair because it was the most cost-effective in the area.

What do you like most about Sinclair?

I like that it had the perfect program for me at a reasonable price. The instructors gave me the tools I needed to be successful. Sinclair's Radiologic Technology program is well known among medical organizations in and outside of the Dayton Community. This made me feel confident in job placement after I graduated.

The classes may be challenging but a degree is attainable for anyone who puts their mind to it! Be sure to set goals, manage your time and plan ahead.

Why did you choose Sinclair College?

The reason I chose Sinclair Community College was because it was close to my house and very cost effective, but also the reputation speaks for itself. I graduated in 2016 with my Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. My professors and faculty at Sinclair prepared me to take five different board exams. It was a difficult program, but I am so thankful I chose Sinclair.

What do you like most about Sinclair?

The thing I like most about Sinclair is that it is a great Community College, but it was so close to my house. I was at a top-notch school but didn't have to drive very far, which allowed me to maximize my study time. It also has highly-skilled professors and faculty who prepare you for your future job and life after graduation. My goal was to pass the boards at the end of my program, and become a Dental Hygienist. I was able to do that, and I have been working as a hygienist for the past four years since graduating.

What advice would you give a new student planning to attend Sinclair?

The advice I would give to a new student planning on attending Sinclair, is that your program may not be easy to complete, but trust your professors and faculty to prepare you for your future job. You are at a fabulous community college! Work hard and stay focused with your end goal in mind. I am so thankful that I chose Sinclair to help me meet my goals, and I will always recommend people to go to Sinclair Community College!

What advice would you give a new student planning to attend Sinclair?

Have a plan and carry out your vision. Sinclair gives you all the tools that you need to become the person you envisioned and more. They set you up with the right personal and give you recommendations on what proper actions to take toward your degree or general classes. Communication is another piece of advice that I would high encourage students to do while they study at Sinclair. Making sure that you and your teachers are on the same page is huge for student success while also giving the institution the same message so they know how to cater to all student they come in contact with. All in all, Sinclair is one of those rare institutions that is always looking to stay ahead of the curve.
