Jeffrey A. Miller is the Senior Vice President for Administration. The Vice President for Administration Division includes many departments providing important services to faculty, staff, students, and visitors, while providing strategic direction for the institution. These departments include Business Services, Information Technology, Facilities Management, Public Safety and Police, Sinclair Conference Center, and Sinclair’s National UAS Training and Certification Center.
 
Business Services

The Sinclair Business Services department oversees a number of student and employee services, which include the Campus Store, Aramark Food Services, Mail Center, Campus Parking, and the Purchasing Department. Business Services is also responsible for maintaining the college’s insurance, property acquisition, liability avoidance, and general business activity across campus.

Conference Center

The Sinclair Conference Center is the only full-service conference center in the region certified through the esteemed International Association of Conference Centers. Serving over 400 business and non-profit clients and over 100,000 individuals annually, the Conference Center is best known for its exceptional food, superior client service, state-of-the-art technology, versatile show-stopping spaces and easy and convenient on-site parking. It is the venue of choice for more than 1,200 community events, business and professional association meetings, trade shows and conferences and non-profit events each year.

Conveniently located on Sinclair’s downtown campus, the Conference Center offers a wide variety of rentable spaces appropriate for galas, conferences, board meetings, small group meetings, classroom training and theater-style presentations.

Facilities Management

The mission of the Facilities Management Department is to sustain the College’s overall appearance value standard and to maintain the College’s buildings, grounds, utilities, equipment, mechanical and electrical systems in a cost-effective manner to provide an aesthetic, safe, healthy and comfortable environment for the College community. The attainment of our mission assures the teaching and community service activities of the College continue uninterrupted.

Some of Facilities Management responsibilities include HVAC & Plumbing, Grounds, Service Control, Planning & Construction, Maintenance, Custodial Services, Space Management, Keys & Security Control, Work Requests, Furniture Moves, and Event Set-up.

 

Information Technology

Information Technology consists of nine area functions: Information Security, Application Administration, Application Delivery, Application Development, End-User Computing, Network Operations Center, Server-Based Computing, Telecommunications, and User Support.

Information Technology’s mission is to continuously improve delivery of affordable, quality, lifelong learning opportunities by providing and leveraging an effective set of Information Technology tools which enhance student learning and facilitate student success including:

  • Academic technology
  • Account and password information
  • Help Desk assistance
  • Discounts for hardware and cellular services
  • Email accounts and access to course mail
  • Network services including internet, wireless, and remote access, etc.
  • Printing and copying services
  • Distribution of software
  • Wireless and mobile access
Public Safety/Campus Police

The men and women of the Department of Public Safety are dedicated to maintaining a safe environment. The Department of Public Safety and Sinclair Police serve the campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing emergency services, responding to criminal and non-criminal incidents, providing escorts to your vehicle or assisting in finding a lost item.

Personnel are dedicated to providing the very highest quality service to our college community, including students, faculty, staff and visitors to our campuses.

Public Safety continually provides information via this website. You can also sign up for Sinclair’s emergency alerts system which will notify you via phone, text, and/or email if an emergency should arise on or near campus.

National UAS Training & Certification Center

Sinclair College’s National UAS Training and Certification Center represents the culmination of a focused vision dedicated to creating one of the most comprehensive and pioneering facilities for the advancement of the

UAS industry through training, consulting, and applied research support. Since 2008, Sinclair College has been at the forefront of UAS innovation, creating partnerships, developing leading curriculum, and investing significantly to establish a nationally prominent program dedicated to meeting the workforce needs of the growing UAS industry.
