STUDENT SUPPORT & RESOURCES

Welcome to Disability Services

The Department of Disability Services provides assistance to all qualified students with disabilities. Assistance is also provided to faculty and staff working with this population. The department is primarily concerned with helping students reach their academic goals.

Students are required to register with the office, in Building 10-421, and identify their needs in order to be eligible for academic adjustments. All services are based on individual needs. The department:

  • assists students to secure resources , services, and adaptive equipment to aid in the classroom and laboratory.
  • provides academic, career, and personal counseling .
  • monitors the campus to assure accessibility.
  • informs students of  services and equipment available to them in the community. Students are encouraged to independently access services to best meet their individual needs.
