Sinclair is fully accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association. Sinclair is also a member of the Ohio Association of Colleges. Programs of study are approved by the Ohio Board of Regents. Sinclair is authorized to grant associate degrees in arts, sciences, applied science, and individualized and technical study.

Programs in mechanical engineering technology, quality engineering technology, packaging engineering technology, and electronics engineering technology are accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. The Automotive Technology program is fully certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). Drafting & Design Technology is accredited by the National Association of Industrial Technology. All Allied Health Technologies programs are fully accredited by national and/or state approved accrediting organizations. The Paralegal Program is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).  Business accreditation is by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. Sinclair's Art and Design Programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, and its Music program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
