The following is a compilation of scholarships for which Sinclair Aviation students may be able to apply. The scholarships on this page are specific to aircraft maintenance. This information was last updated as of the date indicated.

Scholarships specific to Sinclair/Ohio
Sinclair Advising Completion Scholarship: Contact AVT Department
- For students within 1-2 semesters of program completion
- Pays for tuition only; no course fees
- Contact Information: AVT Department (937-512-2046). The Department Chair will forward student information to Advising for consideration
Sinclair/Charles Schnell Foundation Student Loan Program: $500-$1,500
- Minimum 2.0 GPA, enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours)
- Must be 18-25 years old, resident of Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, or adjoining states
- Student and parents must be US-born and citizens
- $500 emergency loans, $1,500 Program Completion Loans

Ohio Regional Business Aviation: $2,500
- 1 pilot (must have Private Pilot Certificate)
- 1 pilot (must have Private Pilot Certificate)
- 1 A&P (must be enrolled in college maintenance school OR military transitioning)

Middletown Community Foundation Aviation Educational Trust:
- Open to Butler, Warren, Montgomery, Preble County students planning to study an aviation field, including Aircraft Maintenance careers and certifications

Sinclair/Choose Ohio First: Up to $1,600 per term
- Must be an incoming freshman enrolled in a STEM program (A&P is approved)
- Must be a US citizen/permanent resident AND an Ohio resident
- Must have high school or college GPA of 3.0 or higher and ACT score of 21 or higher or college-ready placement scores
- Student must remain in their program for the entire term of funding and maintain at least part-time status (6 credit hours)

General Scholarships
Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association: $2,500
The Deputy Scholarship for Women in Technology: $2,000
- Must be a full-time student pursuing a degree in an eligible field
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must provide an unofficial transcript
- Must include a 500-word essay

Lockheed Martin Vocational Scholarship: Up to $6,600
National Business Aviation Association: $1,000-$2,500
- Multiple A&P maintenance scholarships available

National Gay Pilots Association: $3,000
- One available for aviation credentialing, which can include A&P training
- $3,000 award was 2018 value. 2019 value to be determined
- Scholarships are not awarded on the basis of gender identity, expression, or sexual orientation

Ninety-Nines Earhart Technical Training Scholarship: Fully-paid
- Scholarship for technical training, including A&P. (College degree programs ARE eligible for A&P training per Fund Chair)
- Ninety-Nines membership is required
Northrop Rice Foundation Scholarships: $256-$4,000
- Multiple scholarships available for students and veterans
- Scholarships are for education, books, test fees and/or tool sets

PAMA Scholarships: $1,000-$5,000
- Multiple scholarships available. Must be a PAMA member and US citizen enrolled in a Part 147 school. Must include transcript, two letters of recommendation, and a 250-word essay on career ambitions

Pat Napolitano Memorial Scholarship for Aspiring Technicians: $3,000
- Current college and graduating high school students pursuing or planning to pursue aircraft technician certification eligible
- Preference given to US citizens, though no citizenship requirement applies
- No minimum GPA required
- Must submit high school/college transcripts and 300-word aviation technology essay.

Phoebe Omlie Award: $500-$2,500
- Multiple scholarships available. Must be enrolled in a Part 147 school
- Must register to compete in upcoming Aerospace Maintenance Competition
- Must include transcript, two letters of recommendation, and a 250-word essay on career ambitions and Phoebe Omlie’s contributions to aviation

Real Deal Sober Living Scholarship Fund: $1,000
- Submit a 500 word essay or two minute video explaining what you are studying and why
- Must be 18 years or older starting or continuing a college program with 2.5+ GPA.
- Must submit proof of enrollment or acceptance

Women In Aviation International:
- Various scholarships for Aircraft Maintenance, Dispatch, Airplane and Helicopter Training, and more

Women In Aviation International (New 2019 Maintenance Scholarship): $5,000
- Candidate must be a WIA Member
- Candidate must have a CGPA of 3.0 or higher at their high school, flight program, or college
- Training must be completed within one year
