Tennis Team Travels to Mount St. Joseph

Dayton, OH – Sinclair Women’s Tennis loses 3-6 as they traveled to Cincinnati to take on the College of Mount St. Joseph.

Continuing her strong start to the season, Freshman Tory Painter remains undefeated at the number one singles spot winning 6-2, 6-3. Following her single win, Tory and teammate Jessica Purvis out lasted their opponents to take the number one doubles match 9-8 in a tiebreaker (7-1). Rounding out the winning side of the ledger, Jodi Roth won her number six single match also in a tiebreaker.

Only 4 matches into the season, the Tartan Pride is starting to gain confidence and grow as a team. Playing better talented NCAA four year institutions has certainly been a challenge and a growing experience that ladies need to advance when tournament time rolls around.

Sinclair (0-4) will return to action this Saturday as they travel to Springfield to take on Wittenberg and Otterbein.
