Summer Term 2018 Has Highest Enrollment in the Past 5 Years

The Sinclair College summer term began on Monday, May 14, 2018 with the highest summer student enrollment in the past five years. There are over 10,000 students enrolled for the current summer semester, a more than 18% increase from last year. Student enrollment in the College Credit Plus program (high school students taking college courses) this summer went up by 64% since last year. Traditional enrollment, not including College Credit Plus students, is also up from last year. Online classes continue to be a popular option with over 4,000 registered students.

Sinclair College offers a variety of summer classes for students registered this semester. Students from a college or university wanting to take transfer credits back to their college have the option of completing these courses at Sinclair. University students can use Sinclair as an option to take pre-requisite courses that transfer back to their school at a lower cost.

“We are happy to begin our summer term and thrilled to have over 10,000 registered students,” Sinclair Community College President Steve Johnson said. “Sinclair is committed to student success by providing a variety of options to help meet the diverse needs of our students. We work continuously to help students get more education faster and for less money.”

To provide more flexibility this summer semester, students also have the option of completing their courses over four different terms. Additional information can be found online at http://www.sinclair.edu/services/basics/registration-and-student-records/.
